Another milestone today. The engine and gearbox are in the hole and more or less in position. I've got it hanging from a chain inside the cab, so that I can test fit the front beam complete with the new power steering rack before working out the new engine mounts. The engine may need to go up a bit or if all else fails further back in order the clear the Transit power steering rack. I'm hoping to pickup the beam from the engineering shop tomorrow afternoon. Tony is busy machining the rack end spacers for me.

Well if I'm real lucky. Gordon may pop around when all done and allow me to take it for a drive around the block, or should that be a spin around the block... ;) ;)

Van undertook another trip on a transporter earlier today. This time its off to have the new seat bases, engine cover and a new gearbox cross member fabricated. Figured it was easier to do at my mate's workshop. Hopefully she will return home under her own steam. She is still on standard suspension whilst I source new top hats and brake discs for my dropped stubbies.

Hi Ray,

Stu lives just down re road from me so he drops by every now and again. I haven't seen him on BUGA for a while tho. I just sold my CF2 to a chap called Darryl who bought a CF1 grill and bonnet from you for his CF ute. Not sure how long ago that was. Your CF2 is looking good.
Cheers Gordon
