Another milestone reached tonight. The engine and gearbox are all assembled and ready for fitting.

Gordon, did you do anything to the box, I know when you were here and I took it for a drive, it ran sweet, and think you said it had a shift kit fitted.

Nothing major Bas, just new front and rear seals, shift link seal and new o rings on the speedo drive and filler tube. As you say it was changing sweet in the donor van and has a pretty neat shift kit fitted.I drained the fluid and it was still cherry red, so I decided not to open it up. Gave it a lick of engine enamel just so that it looks the business.

Before you put it in I would go for a T-Converter rebuilt..... not to dare, but can make a big difference... ;)
