Headlight trim ring wanted
« on: January 28, 2013, 07:35:54 AM »
Hi All, with the bodywork nearing completion I have started cleaning up all of the bits and pieces ready for reassembly. I'm in need of a chrome trim ring that secures the headlight sealed beam onto the light base. One of mine is badly rusted and is starting to crumble. Anyone out there got a mint spare at a decent price? I'm NZ based but have a mate in Melbourne who visits regularly if that helps. Cheers Gordon

Any 70's car/van/truck ring will fit, it's a universal part
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Thanks for that Busy. Are you still keen to take a template off my interior panels before I put them back in ? Cheers Gordon

Hi Gordon, back online after many months down, good to see forward steps being made on the van, yes David is right a lot to pick from on the early model cars.

Please, if it's no problem.
I might have a headlight ring but I can't get to it as all the boards are on top of the bed

Yep might have one to, but would have to mount a full scale search for it, Gordon let me know if you still require one, it would be painted not chrome, as it would of came of the camper that is now a mk 2 ???

Cheers Bas, I think I'm sorted, but thanks anyway.
