The ask Joel a question Thread

hope you don't mind Joel but you've done everything so well that i'm sure there is plenty of questions people would like to ask you.

I would like to ask the first question

What radiator have you used?  I've been looking at the procool radiator on ebay for a while now and this looks pretty similar

Nice thread Doofhard!

Ok, here goes!......

Joel, what fuel cap do you intend on using? And is it vented or non vented?

Cheers, love your work Joel, very inspiring!

Thanks guys! And sure no problem...

Ok well the radiator I used is AFCO Racing brand. The 24" Double Pass version to be exact. So the inlet & outlet are on the same side, so the water passes through twice. The 22" model number is 80100NDP, can't seem to find the 24" number I ended up getting.
Then I just mocked up some brackets to took it to a local radiator joint, and they made/welded up the brackets on the side.

And the fuel cap, I currently just have the orginal lockable one on there at the moment. Haven't got that far as to needing a new one yet. Though I'll probably try & track down an original/new Bedford one from the UK.

I was wondering about your battery in the front to make room for a compressor. Is that right? Whats it for and...I have a heap of questions but for starters.. Are you going to put in a roll cage?

What brake booster do you use?

Yes the starter battery is in the front, as I have a large deep cycle battery in the original battery compartment, to run the accessories off when I park up or whatever... The compressor & air tank, which is for the big air horns I have, are mounted on the outside of the battery box under the floor, there's a couple of pics of it in the gallery of where everything is...

The brake boosterI used is the original Bedford CF, dual line system. Just fully reconditioned etc. Turns out pretty good....

Cheers!

Yes it runs my dics brakes no problem... As my discs are original Bedford CF disc brakes, they came out standard in the CF2 models later in production... I was lucky enough to find a set, the whole lot including the hubs etc etc.
