Looking for Barn Door rubber seals
« on: January 07, 2013, 11:43:54 PM »
Hi all,
I am looking for a replacement pair of rear door seals for my CF. I know Rarespares have it in their kit, but I doubt it actually fits like the original (I haven't seen that part of the kit yet).

Can anyone who has installed ANY of the door seals from the Rarespares kit confirm that they actually fit, and actually seal around the doors?

Secondly, any of you trail blazers who have welded up your rear doors, did any of you keep the rubbers??   ;D

Cheers, rubber bedford

Hi all,

Someone mentioned that Spectrum Rubber are the suppliers of Rarespares' rubber.
So I contacted them to inquire about costs. Their rubber from Spectrum is more expensive than Rarespares. Not sure how this can be. Are we sure they are the same rubber?

For example, Rarespares list price for 'barn door kit rear' is $106.95.
The 6.5m required from Spectrum is $131.75

Cheers, rubber

Try www.harrisonsearlyspares.com.au He says he does the rubbers, not sure of cost though.

Hey Rubber, you will find that spectrum willl  do a one off run, and you have to run off so many meters per run. Give them a call see what they say.

I got all mine from spectrum They all came in rolls & you have to work where they go & cut them too length yourself Then I bought a heap off new clips & made the holes in the rubbers for the clips Prick of a job but worth the effort Gluing on just doesnt work comes off in the heat Gluing the corners dosnt seem to work either keeps coming undone Lots of luck
