2 x 1 pine framing is good for fixing ply panels to, I used metal partition studs on the side walls was dead set easy fix to the van ribs with the added bonus of being strong and light. I used metal low profile furring channel on the roof and again proved to be strong and light, only disadvantage is that you can't secret nail and all fixing must be scewed

oh yea, i no the stuff, im a auto trimmer so use a lot of stuff very similar when lining buses, boats, vans etc
