http://www.waeco.com.au/products.asp?id=348&catId=106&subCatId=107&subCatId2=-1

they dont take power away from the motor, just not sure what inverter set up is needed to run them

G'day

I posted this in my new CFL but I am putting here as well...

The air con in the new van looks like it is based on an under dash unit. It is mounted on an RHS frame.
The controls are push button mounted on the unit just behind the vents.
It may not look flash but it works VERY well.

Here is a photo looking up into the roof:

Here is a photo showing the condenser with thermo fan mounted behind the bullbar:

The oil cooler for the auto transmission can also bee seen nearest to the photo.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

G'day

It is a standard aftermarket underdash unit.  The big modification is a 90 degree bend made so that the front panel faces down, see second photo. It all works very well!

G'day
There is a wall behind the seats and the hoses run up the side of it.

Check this site out for some ideas http://www.oldairproducts.com/catalog/
considering th AU dollar is now stronger than the USD, now'd be a good time to buy
also, for the more budget types, http://www.waeco.com.au/products.asp?id=442&catId=97&subCatId=100&subCatId2=104 for about $90. I'm looking at reviews now
