The driveshaft is no good anyway, as I understand it is from a LWB and if it is going into a SWB it,s the wrong length anyway, but as you said this is no big deal to put right. I would swap front ends and enterchange the best parts, will need to use the whole Hub or disk with arms etc as there is a difference in size.

the drive shaft is a two piece on the lwb .. will be getting the ends put on to the swb shaft
the 10 bolt rear is to be swaped soon needs a small mod (lwb has shocks on inside of rail ,swb is on outside)
not sure if thats a lwb/swb thing or and age thing
i thing swaping the front end over will be best as its running hq disks

can you use the 202 engine mounts for a 350 ??

i ask this as i have a 202 in my 79 van and a 350 in my 73 parts van
i was planing to just roll one out and the other in but if its mounts up should i use the newer cross member ?

i saw a add on trade me that made me think ...

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/holden/cf/auction-557905617.htm

""the front end has the hq disc brakes and is set up for a 350 chev but has a 202 holden in it at the moment have drive shafts for her the rear diff is an old bedford diff just so it can be moved "" ???

why this has a 202 in it instead of the 355 its used run back in the day was due to the previous owner gutted it of the drive train and the new owner (wraithknight on here) all he could get his hands on at the time for a power plant for it was a 202 not sure how he has mounted it up but i can try to find out

all good mate, had to work on saturday n spent sunday trying to get the dash finished off, no luck on the studs as yet as i didnt get the right size easy out so it'll be another trip to mitre 10 for a couple more of them. sounds good if you've got a couple of hours to spare
