B is for bedford.... bet my left knacker on it    i have had the same bus emblem as you scord wendy, fitted to the front of "ol futile" for a while now... but scored this one at a garage sale this weekend, which am fitting today..... this one also does not have the griffin holding a flag, and said griffin  is looking forward, not behind itself.... enjoyable trivia if nothing else

A bit of history:
Bedford Vehicles, a subsidiary constructing commercial vehicles, was established in 1930 by Vauxhall as the Stock Market Crash of 1929 had made importing American trucks uneconomical.

The reason for the V is to remind everyone who made Bedfords. Before the flag:
