Front windscreen - NZ
« on: April 30, 2012, 07:21:38 PM »
Hey guys,

Does anyone have experience with wind screens for a 82 CF2? My project van just got a bigger project by someone randomly smashing my wind screen, so I'm wondering if anyone in NZ knows where to get a replacement (I hope I don't have to buy a new one...).

Cheers,
Thomas

you can get a second hand one (cf1 and cf2 are the same) or you can buy an aftermarket one from any glass place
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

If you get stuck I can give you a temp screen, It has scratches from wipers (some places will fail it on wof)

Hi Thomas
I've got a mate who has a few spares, but he is located out Silverdale way. A new one will set you back $380 including fitting from Dayle at Instant Windscreens in Penrose. Private mail me if you are keen to find out more about the second hand option and I can get an asking price from my mate. Cheers Gordon

Gidday, I have 3 second hand windscreens in my attic, but as I'm in christchurch probably wont be much help to you as freight would make it uneconomical. If stuck give us a call

Cheers Jeff

There is a windscreen listed on TradeMe for $60 at the moment. Its Hamilton way though. Auction number 471414478. I think the seller is Ray, the same chap who is now doing the fibreglass bits for Bedfords.

$60 is to much for s/h screen, wouldn't be to bad if it came with rubber though
