Missing interior bits....
« on: April 30, 2012, 04:37:42 PM »
Have a look at the attached pic.

What is the unit that is mounted to the left of the instrument panel? Is it the controls for the heater/fan? My van is missing this. Is it meant to be a standard part on the CFL?
Can someone please snap a pic of their fuse box cover and post it up here?

Cheers

Jock

Jock

The heater control in the top picture is the later model ones.

The earlier version is like this

Depends on how you have your dash set up

Mine is a 1978 model. My dash looks more like the one you posted Warren but still not exactly the same. I have a small recess are like that with a hole in the middle of it approx. the size of a 20 cent piece. There is no 'BEDFORD by VAUXHALL' badge.

I will take a pic on the weekend.

mine is also a 78 with a later heater box, you will still have the "steel" pressed as for the earlier models in the centre of the dash but should have 4 mounting bolt holes for the later ones, to the left of the dash pod note how the ealier were recessed and the later "pod"mounted.
Can I go play now...?

Yeah it doesn't look very good does it but I need some for of heater on/off switch that is within hands reach. May have to custom something up, at present to turn the heater on or off you have to pop the bonnet and turn the tap to open the valve in the heater hose, not ideal!

Still keen on a photo of the FUSE box cover if anyone has one, Not sure what fuses go where and there's a few that are missing and a couple blown, would be good to know what size fuse and where they go!

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
