Mini Roof Vent
« on: April 10, 2012, 04:49:10 PM »
G'day

I am looking for a small roof vent for the van something like this:

The only ones that are available are 14" square.
I have seen ones that are smaller (9-10" sq) but still work the same way.

Can anybody help please?

Regards
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

Or try some of these Hino trucks, they have the really small pop up vents, around 150mm x 150mm. You could get them from a truck place or cut one out and graft it in. But try the truck spares place first.

G'day

Thanks for the advice. I should have mentioned that I went to the local boating and caravan shops. They were not helpful and the only one I was showed was well over $200!
It certainly didn't look like it was worth it.

I posted on an OS forum and was sent this link:
http://www.adventurerv.net/elixir-mini-roof-vent-colonial-white-p-1806.html

US$26.99 sounds a lot better. I have sent them an inquiry about freight costs.

The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

dont forget that in todays society that only get you pay for?
$26.95 sounds good now but how long will it last?
hinges, quality of plastic etc.
will the plastic break down in uv light?

id go either the boating or caravan ones
and not eat for a week, lol. :D

hey Bas, yep been a while, have been in hospital, have lost my sight for a while, and just been dealing with bad health. The pros and cons of the situation, sadly the van has suffered, with no more work happening. Trying to get someone to work on it with me is the main problem.
