its prob just a dead plug,
look at all theories but never worry 2 much till its diagnosed.
how did it happen? was it instant? 1 min running good then started running bad?

ive seen friends that race boats n cars doin services between races and change spark plugs throwing half the plugs over their shoulders (new plugs straight outa the boxes)
they were sponcered by leading plug manufactuars as well.

not naming any companies. lol.

yeah dont think disaster till the last draw poochie.
its prob something really simple.

cheers marty

Are you sure its only one cylinder that is not firing?
You could have leads 4 & 5 or 5& 6 around the wrong way..

from the dizzy cap its 1-5-3-6-2-4.

If not, check the plug gap, or put an old/replacement plug in.

Make sure the plug wires 'snap' onto the plugs.

take number 5 plug out and run the motor (or remove power to the coil and crank the motor) and see if any fluids spurt out of the cylinder.

Pull the rocker cover off and check the push rods aren't bent, and better yet, ensure they actually move when the motor turns over so you can be sure it hasn't wiped the lobe off the cam.

that should cross a few simple things off the list

Well it looks like your motor needs a full rebuild. Poochi don't panic, as Matte said, it's proberbly just a plug or lead. Our heads wander when we cant see to diagnose our selfs. If the motor ain't knocking, still take it on the week end and watch some one fix it in 5 minutes. Its a Holden red, they use these in trucks, 4x4, boats and submarines. cos they won't die and they their men or woman in your case home. So tune it up by turning the stereo up and take it easy
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer

It's most likely the EnSpufflegator, these have a habit of coming out of sych with the hybrid wave oscillator, causing a major tear in hynemen seal.

This allow the vitrious hookshot glang secrections to flow outwards from the orbital flange.

Once this seal is broken, it's all down hill from there, major amounts of money will need to be spent on the special Knockcrometer (because it has to convert booleen 4 bit binary int Hexidecimal assci) to fit into the now expanding vortex.

The knockcrometers are readily available but need to be highly primed to work with the older more worn orbital flange.

Fortunatly there are two little buttons tha can be stimulated to produce a reversal in the Contacriniam slot block, but beware as one button is easily found (with correct directions) but the other is hidden away in unusual place, so hard to find that it hardley ever gets used.

Hope this helps, if not maybe I could look into it foryou on the weekend :D
