Funny how Rods name came up just recently - BUGA just recieved this email

Quote from: Rod.Mcmillan

I was just filling in time at work asyou do this time of year and found BUGA a site
I thought would diappear into the after life or the ethiral mist even I was Rods
bedford bits and I am more than pleased to see Buga is still around No I don't own a
bedford of any sort now But that is a mistake as they were an enomouse part of my
life and I miss the crazys that owned them I stiil look every time I see one and
wish that my Huey was still with me as I had lots of fun with that 350 chev powered
Cfl and should have looked after my old friend better So hi to you all Happy New
year ( don't give up on your old friends  cfl's would rule if they could)  Rod

Seems once your bitten by the beddy bug the fever never leaves you - the symptoms my die down but never fully go away.

Talking about once bitten, Yesterday I went and had a look at a Beddy, 1/2 hour from here. Anyway, I got there and behind the house threw the trees , I saw rust and cars. the heart started pumping. After I knocked on the door, got saveged by the old cootes dogs, he said the bedford is his lucky charm and its NOT for sale. So I talked him into letting me look at his good luck charm and the rest of his glory box, cos l'm here now and l've already interupted you counting flies ::). We head down and as we past the first tree and got a look, Iwanted to turn back and get away from this crap, they had been picked clean, but the bastards left the shot up and rusted out carkass of the cars. I was tring to get away but the old coote had a new freind (me). Never disturb some one when there doing nothing, 32 cars, scratch that, 32 piles that would be refused entry to a srap yard cos the magnet would not be able to pick them up and 2 hours of his presious time when he chain smoked my smokes (lucky I had enother packet in the glove box, other wise he would have ran out) He gave me an indepth life story of every pile of crap there. I pray I end up like that, so remember we out scabbing for cars or bits take extra smokes ;D :o ::)

You have been here so you should know.

Chris - are these all Beddies ?

No.
There is a variety of vans:
Transits, Thames, Econovan, Hiace, Urvan, Bongo, Carry.
Trucks:
Dyna, Ford, Leyland, Mazda, Bedford.
Cars:
Rover, Camira, Torana, Commodore, Falcon, Mazda, Opel, Leyland, Volvo, Magna, Monaro, Honda, plus others.
Plus machinery like forklifts, tractors, etc.
and of course, some CF vans and trucks.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!
