If these 3 things were accessable by members about members, it might make it easier if you want to buy or planning to visit members. Maybe make these 3 things mandatory when becoming a full member, and those that want to add more info can. I always end a post with my name, but a lot dont, so i just thing it makes it easier to use someones name. Just food for thought.

that sounds good george but i dont think you can make it manatory because some people might not want their identity's revealed like you.

cheers
ben

I agree benny, but i guess if someone was going to find george in brissy, um, they would need a bit more info then what is here. I just think that saying hi benny, is just more friendly, and also most people here at some stage sign off using their name, all i am sugesting is that if some of us want to be on a first name bases, then we can click on an avata and the name is there.
As for the Location, i mean if we are tyring set up meets or want to buy a part, we can see where the seller lives STATE or CITY instead of getting a shock and seeing they are in perth and have to organise delivery or look else where. I mean most people also tell us their location at some stage, all i am sugesting is to have the info at your finger tips instead of hunting through post to try and find certain info.

I am all for peoples safety and security, but here is a security breach i have spotted on here for a long time, everytime some of us post pics on here, 9 outa 10 post the pic with a number plate exposed. As a PI it would take me 10minutes to get a 100 points of info on a person, full name, date of birth, address and more, for joe blow a trip to the transport dept, and an hour later i could have more info then most people would be comfortable with, and no i am not going to give instructions on how. I black out my number plates with photoshop b4 i post pics, but most on here dont, look at the green van on the left right now.

At the end of the day, i recon any changes should be voted on, but lets remember, dozens of us have just in the last couple of days, posted the 3 bits of info in petrolheads - clints - perth original posts/topic. The number plate on the green van is qld, thats why i asked if he was in brissy in the 4x4 post. At the end of the day we still need to exchange identifiable info via email, or as i did with benny, over the phn, anyways its only a suggestion guys, we can say no or we can talk about it, or just leave it as is.

George.
