VIC beddys-Camping beach wkend trip!!!

If any of you guys are interested, Diamond Valley Vanners do a camping weekend each year and invite other vanners along to Strathmerton on the Murray River in Victoria, it is about 45 minutes past Shepparton, some people leave on friday others come up on saturday morning. Boats, jet ski's are welcome. Big camp area with a large sandy beach. No fascilities on site, have to go to town however there is a drop dunny there.
It is on the same weekend as the Southern 80 boat race so nice and quiet as most boaties are in Echuca. It is on the weekend of Feb 10-12. Let me know if you guys are interested in that and i will post a map.

What are your thoughts VIC heads? It's about 3 hours from Melbs.
Or are we thinking somehwere closer, as suggested, like Ocean Grove/Anglesea/Lorne - Angahook State Park (can we camp there?)

Hey Mark,
No i am not taking Mystic, i take another panel van along. I posted this because it is a run our club does every year and i see here Bedi owners want a weekend away but no one had made a decision on a location and theres no point having a run if no one knows where to go, so here is an option, so i invited everyone to our run. If you guys want to come then great, if not no probs, i will see you guys another time. Every one who has been on this run from other van clubs have always said it is a great weekend away.

At least i have 2 replies now, surely there are more Victorian or even NSW vanners here. I offered this because reading the post people had a date and were throwing around ideas but no wone could make a decision on where. This is an event that has been going for a few years now and is great fun. If i get no luck from any of you i will offer it again next year, it is always the same weekend so you all know now.

Ben, its about 2 1/2 hours max from Melb, your not 4 hours from Melbourne yourself, also some one was suggesting Johanna beach, now thats a big travel. Anyway, it was just a suggestion

The weekend of the 4th is only 2 weeks away, it will be getting hard to organise if left too much longer
