Fixing the butchered front end...
« on: November 19, 2011, 05:54:15 PM »
Hey guys, been a while - good to see everyones still kicking!

I am about to start fixing up the butchered front end on my CF, it was badly butchered by some muppet when they fitted a bullbar to it.
My question to all of you is how should I go about repairing it?

I have already found a good original grill to replace the chopped one. Some pics so you can see the current state:

Looking forward to your ideas on this.

Cheers

Jock

Option 1: speak to ben and get a fiberglass front to glass on..

Option 2: make up a wild front out of steel and weld it on ;)

Option 3: unstitch and weld on original front
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Hey Ben,

How you been? How many vans you got nowadays?
In regards to the front of the van I would like to keep it as original as possible.

Have you got a pic of the shovel front? May use it if I can't get an original front.

Hey Cords,

What do you mean by lower rear quarters?
Are you suggesting they could be used on the front corners to reconstruct the lower front quarters?

Cheers
