Bonnet wanted
« on: November 17, 2011, 04:32:08 PM »
Hi everyone, what's the chance that someone in NZ has a good bonnet for '79 CF. (that's a mk1)  Ideally one that I can just bolt on would be great but one that needs a little work would do too.

I have one that needs some work, but you might need to define "a little work"
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Hi Busy, the one I have has got rust right accross the bottom front edge. A bonnet that is going to need less repair than this would be an advantage. Dents I can fix easily, rust I'm not so good at.

bedford bonnets don't dent, they just rust.

My one needs a bottom too, well patches but would be easier to put a new bonnet on.
Ben (in OZ) does fibreglass bonnets, with and without scoop I believe

Hi Paddy, I did send you an email direct but have not heard from you.  Yes I am interested in having a look at the bonnet you have. Let me know how to get in touch please.
