Hello Scotty, aren't the mk1 and mk2 doors the same. Three years ago I bought a mk2 for parts and the doors went straight on my brotherinlaw's mk 1. Didn't have aproblem.

the inner door handles are different and the early mk 1 stick out across the door handle part, other than that they are the same

Yep I changed to Mkk2 doors on my Mk1 when I did the swap to a Mk2 front, seem to fit ok with the inside being different as Busy said

If you already have your door trims the mk1 door will be no good as you'd have to totally remake it to fit the top budge, and you'd have to get 2 mk1 doors if you want to change them, the other door i got is rotten

They turn up, usually though at the wrong time.

I remember one year I went to a swap meet, only car going at the time was a mini ... just my luck there was a guy selling bedford parts, for $250 i could of got 6 front doors (3 sets), couple of side doors, bonnets, rear doors ... sadly the mini didn't have a sunroof.
I ended up just leaving with a j2 bedford truck radiator (for my van but from a different seller) and got my picture in the petrol head magazine carrying it back to the car.
I still haven't learnt though, one year I went to Kumeu on my motorbike, lucky it is sort of local

World famous in my own backyard ;)

Now I know why you don't have enough room at home for the Beddie. ;)
