HELP With Bender.
« on: November 08, 2011, 09:17:24 AM »
Hi guys, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a bender, for round, flat and solid square bar, the problem is the only company that sell the bender in oz does not sell the scroller attachment with it, lazy who knows ? does anyone know where i can get the scroll/banana attachment from here in oz. I am not upto speed with ebay and the like, i prefer to speak to someone. The alternative is to get them machined up, which would be more then the bender. Here are some pics, the scroller pics i got off you tube.
Thanks for any help guys.

Thanks warren, have been down that path, and compared to the bender i have it is a lot of mucking around to set up everytime you want to do a job. What pisses me off is if i had bought the same bender out of the states, i could of bought the scroller as an accessory, but here, well for some reason we are too lazy to think outside the box. As individuals, yep we are a creative lot, just look at the gang on here, but business wise, just lazy. Worse case here i will need to mill up what is in the pics above. It is as simple as dropping one pin into a hole to go from scroller to bender. What i really want though is to find the 2 parts above so i can just drop them onto my bender, they must be out there, the do exist. PLEASE HELP.

Have you tried Robson's Tool King? His advertising banner has been flying at the top of this website for long enough. See what he can come up with.

Hey rogue, i got an email back, and they suggest i try ebay, so i tried but could not find what i wanted, maybe because i had trouble navigating around. If someone here can find the scroller attachment for me, and post the link, i will take the dive into ebay shopping. lol  Thanks guys.

Hey Guys, well i found the scroller attachment, in america through HARBOUR FREIGHT TOOLS, and just as i thought,  could not work out how to work the site. Being that the scroller is less the $50, shipping here would be insane. Anyhow here is a pic, maybe someone can help me work out how to buy from the states.

Thanks
           George.

Send them an email at cs@harborfreight.com and ask them what the rate would be to ship it to you.

http://www.harborfreight.com/shipping-info

Sometimes you just have to swallow a large shipping charge if you can't get it any other way. I do quite often although sometimes even with the shipping charge it's still cheaper than sourcing it locally. That's what we get for living at the arse end of the world.
