I missed the posts so I don't know what it was all about, but as the past sole moderator I can guess and sympathise with all parties. It is hard and I do not miss the responsibility. After all I am a Peter Pan character.
A mate of mine is the moderator for a Aussie car forum. He let a couple of comments go through which were complained about and the next thing got the pointy end of some very nasty Solicitors poked at him. He was ready to spit it and leave until we all promised to behave ourselves. As a moderator you will have to be conservative, and as members we have to accept that.
As usual it will all blow over.

Yeah,it was a bit heated, but i would have directed my ire at the guy who piked out of his first deal and sold it to another guy after agreeing to sell it to the first guy.
The second guy may/may not have known the full deal.
(if he did then that's not a good way to treat others)

But we all have to move on - i'm only slightly pissed at the guy who put putty in the cracked open highway diff and painted it black before he sold it to me
