also look in direction of the drums if you have drums on the front. seem to sometimes create wobble.

Thanks for the info and suggestions, I'm in Sydney all this week
But will look further into it on my return.

Yeah, Ben I've got drums all round, so that might be a factor,
Or perhaps the tyres need rebalancing, or worn ball joints,
Or the universal needs replacing as Warren has indicated...

I just don't want it to be something that's gonna fall off or jam
The steering when I'm ranging down the road at 90 kph  :o

Cheers

Ian

Worby, just give the wheels a shake up and down and side ways and then the tail shaft, if all good just do as Ben said and kreep home.
Bush mechanic 1 0 1
fencing wire can make a tempery uni
                                    tailshaft loop
a tree branch can substitute for missing wheel
a broken ball joint or tie rod
a good burn out always fixs the balance on the back tyres(thats what I tell her)

The vibration could also be coming from the drive train, water pump, fan, ring gear, clutch and the list goes on. Please get it looked at and be safe
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer

Not fast Ben, but it stops you getting stuck in the middle of know where. And if he thinks his got a vibration now, he ain't felt a vibration. Me and a mate did it up top of QLD in a HD ute in the early 80's. very slow trip and all I remember most was the slapping of the excess wire on the tunnel, and stopping a couple of times to redo it :D :D   Those were the days ::) ::)

Ah fencing wire - a bushies best friend  ;D

When I was a spotty lad living in the bush I had a morry minor Panel Van, driving along the top drivers side ball joint gave way - got out the pliers, walked over to the fence, cut off a few feet, wired it all in place and limped into town ::)
