Girl's gotta love a CF Beddie!!
« on: July 19, 2011, 08:22:49 PM »
Howdy all

Thought I'd join this great forum as I have an interest in CF Bedfords (as all people with good taste should... heehee)

My Dad owned one for many years when I was a teenager.  He put a 253 V8 in it, and custom built a back on it to carry cars. We put wide flares, a front spoiler and a more comfy drivers seat but aside from that it was failry standard. A manual gearbox on petrol from memory... what a workhorse!! It just kept going and going, 'til one day when we had to say good bye. But I have never forgotten the ol' Beddie.... Dad even use to drop me to school in it! All my friends would know I had arrived.... they couldn't say that for anyone else who was delivered by silver commodore or white camry. lol

My spark was re-ignited just recently when I drempt about owning another one.... then would you believe it - I FOUND ONE! Out in a paddock - abandoned. Purely by chance! I have made a few enquiries to see if it is availalbe. I have already made plans for it if it is!! lol It will be a wicked little Beddie!! I shall keep you all informed!

Take it easy guys - and keep Beddie-ing on!!

Sal

The good bit in my opinion Marky

Well Buga me there is a couple of us.

After the lack of enthusiasm the other week after some one suggested a gathering, I suspected the worse.

I’m glad to see there is a few us here.
And you thought owning a bedford was going to be easy.
