Or fit a 426 Hemi, then the sparkplugs would be easier to get to..

Next step has gotta be mounting a front wheel drive V6 and gearbox combo at the rear of the beddie and drive the rear wheels that way???

The one after that would see the motor and gearbox in a black chrome articulated trailer but you'd have to spin the diff 180 degrees and parking becomes a challenge ??? ??? At least you could swap the powerplant between daily driver and show van with just a tow hitch and a few aftermarket plugs, hoses, wiring connectors and a looong cable for the gearshift ::)
It's not how hard you hit it - it's how you hit it hard

How about this one - mounted backwards, driving the diff through a marine V - drive..

Hey Bas! Where does your air box sit? Just curious. I'm going to mount mine in the spare half of the battery well at this stage.

Hey Busy! How are you going to get fresh air to your intake when the engine cover is on?

Yeah, I'm running ducting from the grill up to the carbs
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

On the v6 van under the gearbox cross member, on the Camper where the heater used to be both VN box's

Thanks Bas. I thought I might put mine in the battery well because I want to try and get it as far away from the hot exhaust air as possible. I was going to use the original VN box but it's going to be a bit awkward releasing the clips to change the air filter. It's going to be just about as much effort mounting the VN box in the well as it will be to make one up so I think I'll do that instead and just mount a pod filter inside. I f I put the air intake at the uppermost point of the box and have that facing the side of the van it should hopefully keep the intake temperature down and avoid sucking in water when it's pissing down. Thought I might make a heat shield for the intake as well where it passes the exhaust pipe on the way to the engine. A bit of Dynamat in the air box should keep the noise from the pod filter down I think.
