Mainly need to know how reliable it is to be sure it will drive the 2000km home. How heavy is it on fuel? Do all the lights work? What's wrong with the windscreen? Any strange noises or looseness in the suspension?  Does Victoria have the same unregistered vehicle permit situation as queensland?

you can get a permit cheaper here, up to thirty days but QLD cops won't be impressed if you use it to drive around there getting it fixed.
I'd just get a permit to drive home and a QLD permit when you get there.
The motor in it has been to sydney twice since i put it in.
the ignition switch is playing up, id be tempted to bring a new one with you (It's the bit behind the key with the contacts in it), but would be easy to bodge until you get home
It is amazingly cheap on LPG but i only use gas on the freeway and petrol around town as it is pretty sluggish on gas.
If i was keeping it i would be sourcing a good replacement motor and have my head checked before putting it on.
It has rattles and squeaks but no clunks, there is a minimal amount of uneven wear on the front tires so wheel alignment is pretty good.
Handbrake is not up to much,
If i was keeping it i would be putting bedford brakes on the back as the holden drums are not quite right (i've been happy with them for the last 6 years and they passed roadworthy here but....)
I have another better looking front disc conversion that we can negotiate over.
Windscreen has two chips and two small cracks, will fail.
I'll check all the lights again but they were good last week.
Like i said, i'd drive it *(but i have RACV total cover, It just had two free rides home - which lead to replacing all the ball jounts and shocks late last year ;D)

I would only use the permit to get home anyway. I will do all the repairs myself. How many liters is the fuel tank and the gas tank, if you were to fill both how many km would you get before you had to stop for fuel?

Hmmmmmm. not really sure, twice as cheap on gas
60 litre gas, about 300km
60 litre (?) petrol, not sure, 500km ?

As I would have to fly my wife and myself down and find someone to baby sit our dogs and look after our other pets it is looking easier to get you to bring it up if your willing. How much did you want total for the car and delivery, like your starting bid is $1200 on eBay but you turned down that when offered before.

Might be time to switch to PM soon, although maybe someone can suggest a trasnsport firm?
ipswich is near brisbane right?
why not leave the wife with the dogs and sprogs?

that's tricky, there has been a bit of interest and the auction ends in two days.
I'm not removing it again without some money in the bank and that might not show up till it's too late.

How 'bout you bid and if you win i deliver it for $1000 (yeah, i know it's gone up, but it's a looooooong drive) and you give me a ride to the airport
.
but maybe someone will let us know who does cheap moving, maybe we can put it on a train?
i'd rather send it

It's always a bit weird buying a car you haven't seen and i'd want most of the money before i leave home.
I'd be able to deliver in about two weeks (all going well)

It is a 1790km drive (up the coast as i have a few places to stay that way)

i bought a LWB in nsw and drove to vic, all on a nsw temp permit, vic cops were quite happy so long as i just drove it home (stopped 3 times by the cops, all cool).
ask your transport dept.
Lots easier to ship it unless you want an adventure
