Just so everyone knows,my computer has been damaged about 6 times over the years I have had them.
Each time its been traced to Yahoo, before u jump up and down, its a fact been proved by a couple diffrent people.
So I dont open anything to do with yahoo and crossed fingers been about 3 years since I found out and havent had an issue since.
My 2c worth ;)

I have a yahoo address, and not to many headaches, i dont open anything that i am not sure about, if i am not expecting then i wont miss it if i delete it. Maybe one day we will be able to use our PCs without the worry of viruses and grubs. mmmm one day  ??? ??? :-\ :o ;D ;)

No way! I make good money cleaning those things off people's machines. That's helping to fund my van!  8)

Getting Viruses sux big time. Had a friend who got married recently and they came back from their honeymoon to find their savings account drained. Used his credit card to buy something online just before they left and that was it. Little under $20k gone in a week.
The bank is doing a whole investigation into it, took his computer for a bit to get it looked at. Turns out a Trojan on his comp sent keystrokes to somewhere in Asia so they were just waiting around for him to type some useful information.

Personally I'm with a bank that doesn't just rely on typing to access my accounts, it has a virtual keyboard to type the password. I also use a MacBook which near on makes it impossible for a virus to destroy my computer.

So i guess after that long winded story all I'm saying is be very careful when using any personal info online.

Happy Vanning!!

Hey 007, i dont put personal bank details on - line, i dont care what security banks put in, if banks can design it, crims can break it.

Hey Rogue, i dont think you have to worry about going out of bussiness mate, it will be years b4 we have 100% security, so hopefully your van will be done by then.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I got a virus once, but the doctor gave me some cream and it cleared right up    ;D ;D ::)

Rogue, are you a computer nerd?
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

I had to put my 2cents in :)
I am a reformed computer nerd.  The virus attached to the UPS emails has nothing to do with UPS.  I got one of them and at about 2am I thought it was a good idea to open it!!! About the time I clicked on it I knew I'd been done but too late.  Half a second later my virus software informed me it had been captured and told me not to be so stupid in future.

In short - I spend $100 per year on virus protection, $50 on backing up.  This is all I spend on software and BOTH are absolutely essential, I don't have time to fix PC's anymore I HAVE A BEDFORD.
