Hi guys have just got me a new girl in the shed a 1977 cf short wheel base with a 350 chev.I have so far striped all paint got the 350 rebuit and got new light fittings made up for the back and are changing the front to a Nissan Elgarand lights to give it a new up to date look also have had a new front made as well as building in the rear bumper and still more to come :).New mags get here on monday (21/3/10) cant wait to put them on ive gone for a one off look and are making the van for my mags hehe as they are 20inc by 14inc on the back thats a 335/30/20 sould be fun making them fit. Now here comes the part i need a little bit of help with ,when i got it it was already set up with the 350 and rego as a 350 but it has been off the road and sat in a shed for 14years and in that time some one took out the diff and put it back  but only put in one shock put in one spring and it has the leafs still in there so i guess what i would like to know is there anyone who is running a 350chev out there that could let me no the rite set up is for my diff that lives in auckland NZ or know a good guy i can call

I've had V8's in bedfords with the single leaf and mutli, no real difference until loaded
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Planing on fitting it out with 6 12" subs at the back and 5 screens and 3 sets of 6.5 ,all that and still seating for 7-8 so wanting a set up to carry that weight

Hey Grunta. What diff are we talking about. Is it a std CF or something bigger. I have a 350 chev in by LWB and running a 9" on single leaf spriings. Works fine. I'm sure between those of us in Auckland we can help you out.

What are you up to at Easter. Custom Van Nationals are at Tapu, just north of Thames, hosted by our Auckland club. You should come along and meet so like minded vanners.

Garry.

ok so now still waiting on my mags, have looked how they had set up the diff and now trying to make it work as they had four shocks for just the rear diff and only a single leaf spring so now going to run just one shock and just need help to figure out what leaf springs i should be running.  Was wondering if anyone knows if jumbo leaf springs will fit in a short wheel base CF as they are made to carry more weight?
