If you want to see a collection of beddies owned by active members on facebook....
Click on the link or copy n paste into your browser
A fellow asked for pics of our vans....

A very interesting collection and a great observation quoted  by Dash Laver on these beloved bedfords.....

"Great thing about the Beddys is the variety of designs and individuality owners express. It clearly isnt like say kombis and peeps are too scared to play with their "investment," the Bedfords almost make you flick your creative on to GO :) "

Yeah there are so many different combinations on vans etc nowdays Wendy.
There isn't many stock vans at all left.
Most are modified in some way.
Be interesting to see how many stock ones are left?

Might be a good thread to start?

How many stock vans out there?
Members post up pictures of your stock van only.

Yeah sounds ok but there won't be many in the standard line up...as is totally stock standard, with no changes what so ever...with maybe exception to paint?....

This is a sad post today....quoted from Dale Gordon Taylor on facebook...

The death of my first Bedford. At least it was sudden not a drawn out slow demise. Guy chose to ignore a stop sign and hit me square on at the back axle. She flipped straight onto the roof when the opposite side wheels dug into the road and spun like a top up the street. Didn't even break the side mirrors! No seatbelt on at the time but not a scratch on me. Surfboards had a couple of dings though. Insurance company wrote it off. Wondering if anyone here ever scored some parts off the old girl?

Nice to see the strength in all the a,b,c &d pillars , still holding strong  :o

Sad Bedford pic . But those boots landed perfectly 10 out 10  ;D

As for a stock original Beddy , back in 2008 when l bought my van . I got some repairs from a

bloke in Brisbane , named Paul who fixed up vans, sold parts & was a certified Beddy Nut . He told me a

story about purchasing an original unmolested van off an old lady . So surprised to see one in

that condition ,  he had it vacuum sealed and placed in an undisclosed location for prosperity.

I believe him , I still have his contact details on my receipt . So if true . We have one , just need to

find the other .. Cheers Frank

Sounds like Paul Cahill. Mr. Bedford, top bloke! He built the LHD Scooby Doo Mystery Machine Beddie van for the first movie, and a second one for Movie World promotional work. (pic.) He said Warner Bros. shipped the movie van to the U.S. following filming and that it only had a Holden red 6 and drum brakes.
