I removed the recess on my custom, and have thought about putting them back in, but I think it suits it with no recess.

I know what you mean Bas about it being a bedford thing thou

Yeah i guess there is merrit in it, as sometimes the only thing left standard on some vans are the recesses.

We had a van here many years ago (pre '80) where they had reversed the recesses so that instead of recessing inwards, they came outwards. It was a big job and looked really different once you figured out what was going on. You had to do a double take to realise that the usual recess lines you saw had been reversed. Only saw it on the one van though.
