I had a look at these 5 vans yesterday. One of them would make an interesting project. Pretty shabby but hardly any rust, mid mount 350 chev, VP dash, vancraft front end, flares. Good basis for a hot rod van. A lot of money was spent on it back in the day.

I'd buy it myself but with two vans already and one garage, don't have anywhere to store it.

I will post photos if anyone is interested.

2 grand each for two with 253's. 5 grand for the better nick custom with vancraft front end, 351 cleveland & 9 inch diff.

The blue one (350 chev) was 2 grand with motor and box, 1000 bucks without. It's basically a bare shell, though, with motor and box sitting in it & standard diff. Nowhere near running. Probably best suited to a long term project.

Seemed negotiable on the price, though.

I am currently negotiating with a guy in Bendigo on a '79 CF Camper. It is a Cab/chassis with a Franklin "sort of caravan" body with a Luton peak. It has a red 202 and Traumatic. I test drove it and the front-end obviously needed work. he wants $7,000 for it with no RWC. I sent it off for a roadworthy check and it came back needing top ball-joints, front wheel cylinders, front brake reline, gas tank needs redating (It is Dual Fuel) and a new windscreen. I reckon all that would be around $1,000 if done by a friendly mechanic. He won't budge on price though.. Pity 'cos it's a nice camper but wheeling and dealing is part of the game. No fun when they won't budge.
