Coops and Blue Angel
« on: January 19, 2011, 10:54:28 PM »
Hi all,
Good to see such a great community for the Bedfords. I saw the site years ago, it is great now and I now have a van finally. However, she is in the shed with a few issues...
BUT - Hopefully I can get all issues resolved this year and get to a rally or meet somewhere.
77 CF that I bought already customised, fiberglass kit to widen the sides, front kit, Rover rear door, side windows have been turned 90 degrees, VN 3.8 V6 and auto gearsbox, 9in diff, custom dash and rear seats on swivels, Fairlane brakes, seats and door locks and heaps more stuff...
I am interested if anyone has knowledge where it may be possible to get the latches for the front and side doors? The rollers and cogs are worn as you would expect, and I keep getting stuck in the dam thing..
Thanks in advance, Hi to Wendyh who put me back onto the site.
Cheers
Coops

G'day

Welcome aboard.
That is definitely Danny Rileys van. He had it for many years. I saw it when it had a Ford Cobra big block V8 and it was very fast.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

G'Day all and thanks. Is Danny Riley in this group? or anyone in touch with him? Would be intersting to have a chat about the mods and any engineering that may have been done in the past. I hope to change it a bit and get it back on the road by mid year for a run.
It was still pretty good with the V6 but I could definately see the potentional with a V8. Fun ride...
Cheers

nah he doesnt really kick around in the bedford circles any more but he's a top bloke ill message you his number he will be more than happy to chat about the van..

Thanks Ben, got it. I put some photos up from where I got the van, however she's in the shed now for a makeover, will update more as the project continues. Thanks again,
Coops
