Hi all. Found this website describing their Bedford rebuild.
Worth checking out - a lot of neat ideas. Like the electric door poppers. Might have to steal that one.
The removable front panel is also a good idea.

Not so keen on the 'bling' wheels and interior.

Cool build but I do not like how they did the fuel tank and pump. That is so asking for trouble.

What a great read. I have just bought a RR with a recoed 4.2 V8 and Motec controller to put in a CF. I agree about the tank.
Has anybody seen a better solution for EFI in a CF?

that door popper is in a weird place, the CF doors have to much flex. i put mine in the middle by the catch, works a treat

Grafted part of the fuel tank including baffle from an EB Falcon Stationwagon onto the CF tank so the Falcon internal fuel pump just fits right in.

Geezz and I just happen to have an EB wagon sitting in my scrap heap. Any more photos? and why did you pick the EB?

Here's a picture of the top. I just happened to be looking around the EBs at the wreckers because I've been using other parts such as dash components and seats from that model when my beady little eyes happened to glance at where the fuel pump was sitting and the wheels started turning. Aside from the welding I thought it was a good solution as the pump sits in the tank horizontally so you don't have to muck around with trying to get an internal pump in the right place pickup-wise with a top-mounted solution. I could have used an external but I've had one of those in the past and found them quite noisy. Irritatingly so.

The icing on the cake is that I've used an EB instrument cluster in my dash so I don't even have to worry about trying to calibrate the fuel gauge. The only gotcha I have found so far is that the fuel pipes angle out towards the side of the van instead of the centre. I'll try and take a photo later today with the pump installed so you can see what I mean.
