2 in 2 weeks.....
« on: November 26, 2010, 02:04:30 PM »
hi all, joined a few weeks ago after finally buying my first beddy off ebay, its rusty and rough but it was cheap enough.

know very little about them and my one sounds all over the place. the guy i bought it off said the whole chassis was hq.
my mate reckons it is not as wide as his and i notice the petrol filler is in a different place.

i have read on here about people putting in hq front ends but to chop and change the whole thing???

why would this have been done?

it has a 186 and a 5 speed celica box, dont know about the diff yet, going to investigate it all soon. it sat on about 100 on the freeway, speedo was out but i know i was being overtaken at 4500rpm

and then........

a few days later a big bad black beddy was listed on ebay for a reasonable price, so i bought it too, my original intention was to paint the first one black, so now i have 2, going to pick it up from sydney this weekend.

as for the fuel filler, it is in the correct place, you just have a 2nd filler located behind the arch. Do you have gas or a water tank on board

it's an old sock in the fuel filler, the real looking one is for a power lead.
