I'm gonna sound like an old bugger here...But i have often thought the same as George. All of the overseas students (china and singapore) here at the uni that i work  have to do national service over there. I am gobsmacked at the constant barrage of stories in the press about grannie bashings and total disrepect for the basic morals and manners that i grew up with. I am convinced that a stint in the forces would be a good thing for those antisocial elements (male and female) of our society.
