I need a diff housing
« on: September 28, 2010, 10:22:45 PM »
Hi guys, I have a donor VN and doing a full transplant of V6 auto and diff into Alien8.  I have to get the  holden disc brake diff widened and to do that I need a standard short wheel base diff so the diff man can get the plates for the springs in the right place.  currently running a Chev Caprice diff so I am hoping a Brisbane owner might be able to give me a LEND of a non modified standard diff for a short time.
Julian.

Thanks for the offer Ben  but I'm using the VN disc brake diff and getting the short side tube  taken out and using the long side tube from a second diff put in to get the diff within 1and half inches the original bedford diff size.  I need an original bedford diff housing so that the diff man can set the Holden diff up correctly. Will take pics so will post them up when its done.

So Julian does it use two long side axels then, and is the stud pattern HQ or crumadoor ?

Would be good to see some pics - sounds like a simple solution to the beddy diff problem
