HAS IT BEEN DONE?
« on: September 25, 2010, 10:46:41 AM »
Has anybody fitted a HZ subframe to a Beddie? That way you would have a close to standard track RTS suspension vented disc brakes comon stud pattern engine mounts to suit 6 or 8 so no engineering required for the mounts and you can have power steering and the steering can easily be attached with a "Drop Box"

correct me if i'm wrong, was the hz a monocock [ whatever the bloody spelling lol  ;)] you would need some serious engineering to connect the 2 together without stripping the hz to attach to the beddy. Am i wrong ?

The chev van is 9 inches wider. about 17inches longer.
The body looked weird.
Kinda 34ish on a model A if ya know what I mean. :-\

That's a nice piece of info thanks pickmeup.

Don't suppose you'd know the measurements of the F100 - 150,
I've been mentally disturbing myself for sometime now, thinking along
these lines but I'm going cab chassis so it's a different "box of bits".
If you or anyone has toy'd with any type of cross breading I'd luv to hear about it.
4X4 is then another option.
also,..like...  would a F100 or Land Cruiser  etc front end or diff fit ?

diff fit ...hard to say...sounds like a kiwi word.  ;D

cheers
mark.

l'm not a 100% but it's my belief that the f100, is what was used to do the 4x4 conversion
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer
