Hey mezzmo, got  your van back yet. I hope your van does not disappear like the missing green van, lol   if it does we can check skips pouch    So are you going to remove the vinyl graffics,  i guess back to the body shop first.

This is what i had, like you rogue i am replacing, i am going to build my new mirrors from scratch.

On ebay. There are heaps of them on there. They're aftermarket replacements for the Chev or Dodge (can't remember off the top of my head) vans and pickups. Once again there appear to be any number of manufacturers. I landed my ones from the states to my door in NZ for $110.00 NZD.

I got these ones because a mate has had the same ones on his van for 3 years with no problems, and they still look like new (the black ones that is) Sorry Rouge like this style better as it's on a van not a car reminds me of a jap mirror. MY THOUGHTS ONLY

Each to their own    I've had 4 different styles of mirrors now including the originals. Times change as do my tastes.

And your van only moves a couple of feet now and them, at this stage I'm not sure you even need mirrors  As I grew up in the 80's and my job was all day around custom vans, the old style mirrors is what I got used too. Hard to change.

Baz they are the the same ones I put on my van 4 years ago (the black head ones, I had them painted to match), I used to have west coasters before that but found they had a rather large blind spot. When you go to mount them i found they sat on an angle and looked a bit odd so I cut the bottom aluminum bar and redrilled it now they sit level which looks better. Just a suggestion if you want it to look better as a front profile.

Can't argue with that  I started off with the originals and then went to a set of stainless steel truck mirrors. They were a great set and really looked the part. Then I wrote the van off and decided to take the opportunity to remodel the front. The truck style mirrors didn't really suit anymore so went to the style you now have. That was about 12-15 years ago. When I finally decided to do something about the lump of metal sitting in the garage I thought I'd try for a more sporty look. Was trying some of the smaller mirror sets but they just didn't cover enough of the rear so that's when I decided on the Chevy mirrors. Not as obtrusive as the larger mirrors but still a good viewing area and I really like the style.

Hi. No, there's actually no bonnet. I've got a mid-mounted engine so at the time we decided that we could get away without one. I've now decided that that probably wasn't such a good idea so I have some plans to rectify that.
