By the way great to see the work everyone has put in to keep the Beddie on the streets and away from the scrap merchants.

Hangin to get back to Perth and have my first real drive and start preppin project.

Hey truck, i am no mechanic, but let me tell you this, just about every problem or Q. i have had, these guys have solved it, or given me something to think about. So between these buga's and the switched on guys working on my van, things are going great, just think, if i had an unlimited cheque book, i could have a fantastic van, but i will just settle for awesome for now.  ;)

Hey George,

Your not wrong there, the forum posts are awesome and a wealth of information can be found just by searching. I got to admit they are a good read for variations in mods and some comments that fly through there keep me laughin. The misses looks over at me pi@#in my self laughin at some of the quirky wise cracks and comments, but all in all the problem gets solved or good advise from others as to why some mods are just not feasible.

As for the fat wallet factor I'm sure the portion I have put aside will certainly give me a good kick-start till anorexia kicks in but I have plans for this to be the project that will live on for me till i'm old, fragile and basically f@&ked, then I will have to just sit back and enjoy till my plot is dug.

The plan is to start with running gear and stopping gear, followed by cosmetics and inside fit-out so little way to go yet.

A good way to do it is to take care of the interior while you're saving for the big ticket items. The interior is much cheaper to deal with by comparison to engine and running gear etc and keeps the momentum and interest going.

Cheers Neil appreciate the invite and will definately drop in when next down that way. I will only be in Perth for 4 weeks before I return to Indo till Christmas but will be heading down to Kwinana to see a guy about some work he wants done in about 2 weeks so will make time to come by.

Will contact you before heading down to get address and looking forward to getting some guidance.

Hey Rogue will definately be starting interior asap as I want to start stripping some of it out due to colour and check for signs of rust and water damage. I already have a spare 202 which I will build to spec I want then take on the task of swapping over and while at it put new clutch then wire up to suit electronic ignition. As I plan to do most work myself there will be plenty to keep me keen and nothing beats the satisfaction of standing back and saying pukin awesome I did that.

hey truck, is this going to be a show van, or just a daily driver, or both ? Whatever you do, one golden rule on this site, you MUST take LOTS of pics as you go, and MUST show us. lol  ;D ;D

Hi George,

For now it will be a daily runner till the major work gets started which will most likely see it of the road for a few months.

I finally picked van up Sunday arvo and drove the beast home. Well as for most cars that need some work it was definately an eventful drive, well the starting and stopping part anyway. As for the comfort while cruising and being my first Beddie I was amazed. I could sit behind the wheel of this van all day and rides perfect on the road but when it came to stopping throwing the anchor out the window while pumping the brakes and clutch so we could go down a gear was a little like taking of sky-diving without a shoot.

That was the easy part, having the missus following behind shaking her head in disbelief was the killer. But I managed to adjust the brakes and clutch today and she actually drove it and loves it.

I will keep the pics flowing with all work done as best as I can to do my part for the site.
