This is a bloody shame!
« on: August 20, 2010, 10:15:54 PM »
I know its not beddy's but this is a shame if you are a  true car guy, just in from a COE mate.

Subject: 1950 to 78 GMC Chevrolet and Other Pickups to be crushed - Edmonton Collector Cars For Sale - Kijiji Edmonton Canada.

At $450 each and less if one buys more than 2, one could pick up a pretty cool project vehicle or make a good profit on.

There are tons of classic trucks which are getting really hard to find these days.

There is also 1968-69 Impalas and 1970 to 1972 Olds Cutlas that are great money makers for parts or project cars too.

1950 to 1978 GMC Chevrolet and Other Pickups to be crushed - Edmonton Collector Cars For Sale - Kijiji Edmonton Canada.

Also, Ad # 223394800 is for cars at the same location.

I really think that it is worth looking into and we need to save as many of these as we can from the crusher which is going to happen in a couple weeks from now.

Cheers!

Rod

tis actually not too bad an idea but the import tax  could be a stinger from mem... i will always be more than happy to put my hand in my pouch, n release the terradactyles outta my wallet  ::)  to pull some spondulees out to chuck in to help keep BUGA rollin, if this idea of pickmeups is viable, maybe some cream from it could be chucked in to ensure the wheels of this awesome site keep turnin... pickmeup... onya mate  ;) for the generous offer to donate yor time to the paperwork as i believe there is a mountain of it involved... an u would hav to supply yor own panadol  ;) .. tax deductable  of course  ;D  ;D
I,d rather sell my...mum,....than my bedford!!

Okay I emailed the guy for a list, once I get it I will post it here then ring him with what you want.
You will need to have funds ready to go. I can use a trustworthy go between who will only hand over money once titles and or bill of sale is supplied.
Shipping times should be 8 -10 weeks.
Will cost about $3900 per car to ship to WA.
This is an appoximate cost
I am comfortable quoting that price but do so knowing it might be a bit more.
Bank on each one costing you about $6g landed in WA. About $5g and a bit for Brisbane and Melbourne,Sydney I need to check.
These figures are based om 3 cars per container.
I can do all the arranging and organising and am happy to show figures as I dont need to make any moneys out of it myself just cover costs I can show you.
You need to be able to tell me in the next 48 hours if you are in,the more there are the cheaper it will be.
Obviously first in best dressed on choice of cars!

Just one other thing I should mention.
Remember you are buying from a storage yard.
No guarantee they will run or that they are not rusted out or dented.
I will ask for individual photos of your selections but they may not be available..
Caveat emptor!
