I noticed that pickmeup thanks. I just mentioned in the other thread that i'll now consider leaving the windows as they are... not there

Yeah i got that feeling too. This is what i meant by a subtle paint job. In the cars native environment, the carpark, it will blend in nicely. But when you look at it closely, you can see it looks really nice and not outlandish

Just my two cents...

Paint your van in the colors/scheme in which it will bring you most satisfaction. Your obviously embarking on this project for your love of the Bedford , because it brings you joy. And if you end up painting it in a color your not 100% sold on, it will niggle at you each time you see your baby. In saying that, it might take you a while to decide on your destiny =) Don't worry about copycating, if we Buga's were concerned about anyone copying our pride and joy - we wouldn't post pics / share knowledge about our vans =)

George is right, security is easy to work out..If you put a decent alarm on your van, you will be able to hear it while on the construction site, even if the van is not in your direct sight..And an imobiliser can be fitted, as easy as wiring up a switch and hiding it somewhere in the cockpit / or engine bay..

BTW, it's not a "scooby kit" on that Van. If you want one like that, ask Ben for a 5-piece flare kit. Have a look at his post, showing all the moulds that he has available.

Don't know if I've helped here, but good luck mate  ;D

Yeah Mark B, it think you've kinda hit the nail on the head. I'm worried that if i pick a way out there color that i wont like it. I was talking to a mate who's doing up a HZ Kingswood and he's thinking of a bright yellow. He could pull it of, because its a standard size vehicle. The side of a Beddy with no windows is like a Billboard in comparison and if the color is out, even by a bit, your right, it will niggle at me and i won't enjoy my baby.
I guess i wanna play it safe for this first one. I'm not saying that i'm compromising with the grey, it was on my original shortlist, but its harder to get grey wrong.

Outriding, I've had a bit of a play with Hue/Saturation on Photoshop but it's still not the same as seeing a van painted. But by all means look in my gallery and have a bit of a play. (Put some jellybean mags on it too if you want because thats what i'm planning)

Thanks to all you guys, your input has been really helpful so far.

I did have one other question, what colors are all your engine bays (in relation to body color?)

Gray is such a dull color, you better add some sort of lines or pin stripes to give it more personality.

A shiny metallic grey would look good though.

Outriding, thanks for that, i agree it look's dull as a matte finish but i think it'd be very different metallic
I'm thinking of using chrome, rims, bumpers, mirrors and handles to add personality.
Possibly Black from the door bottoms down
