Need For Speed
« on: August 17, 2008, 12:55:24 PM »
G'day

If you get a buzz from hooning the wrong way down the road in a CFS van with the flashing lights chasing you, then here is the answer:

http://www.nfscars.net/file/view/highstakes/1870.aspx

I got a copy of NFS: High Stakes and installed it. Shopping at BitTorrent works great.
I then loaded the 2 Bedford CF definition files and gave it a run.

It's a blast going the wrong way around a race track in a black CFS, and doing donuts in the town square.

It is very good graphics and yes, you can bend and damage your van fairly bad. If you select the Career option you can then get a custom paint job.
The only downers are that it is LHD and is speced up with a diesel motor.

I have a couple of Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Joysticks which have been fun, but I have just bought 2  Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel & pedals to set up proper simulators. Do I use original CF seats or a couple of Recaros?

Tip: The file you will download is a zip file. The 2 files in it have to go in the following directories for the CF to work:
bed.qfs
..data\FeArt\VidWall\
car.viv
..data\Cars\bed\
you will have to make the \bed directory.

I reckon that it is a must have for any diehard CF owner.

Regards
Chris
