WHAT A SCORE!!!!!!
« on: May 27, 2010, 12:21:47 AM »
In the 70's there was a van show in Perth which was covered in Custom Vans & Trucks, in the show was a un-finished CF Bedford that was painted in HEAVY gold metal flake and had heaps of murals all over it. Now I didn't have a photo of this van so I wondered how to get one(Craig doesn't have a pic either) So I looked at the magazine and found out that the W.A. contributor was Vince Berriman, now I know him through Hot Rodding circles so I gave him a call and explaind what I was after and he said that he only has some black and white negatives. I asked to borrow the negative so that I could get a reprint done, he wanted to know Why? I said that its all about the history of vanning in Perth now he seemed happy about this and asked if I would look after them real well, of course I said. Well blow me down a week later a parcel arrives and inside is a stack of negatives(about 150 photos)So I'm now the custodian of the negatives and I have droped them off to get printed which will take 2 weeks to do and you don't want to know how much they are going to charge. Once they are done I'll scan them and e-mail them to Craig (that will block up his computer for a while) and hopefully he  will put them up here Regards Petrolhead

Should be good Clint, Vince was everywhere in the early days of Vanning.
He did a right up on the VAN MAN car yard in East Vic Park in the late 70;s early 80s not sure.
Do you remember it?
We use to go there Thursday nights and give the car sales guys s**t about them.
Best cross section of vans around with about 30 vans in stock allways.
They had a light mettalic blue SWB beddie that had me barring up every time I saw it. (barring up thinking of it now).
If those photos are there I would love to see em!

That van wouldn't have been called paradox would it, lots of murals, naked chick on drivers door/guard
