You're welcome. It's a bit of a sh1t because the bottom of the timing cover also seals against the front section of the sump so you need to be really careful pulling the cover off so as to not munt the sump gasket othewise you might have to replace the sump gasket as well to avoid oil leak city. Other than that it's a complete doddle to replace when the motor is out. It didn't matter to me as I was swapping my sump anyway.

Lots of good stuff here on the V6 Buick motors...

No Probs David, will PM my numbers so you can contact me first if required, theres a few things I would change, but the setup fitting is all ok, the motor sits forward and the sump has not been changed, so sits above the cross member, but still seems to sit quite low in the van. Bas

conversion is going well.

Because the fuel injected motor I had to either modify the bedford petrol tank or just use the commodore one, I choose the latter. just brought 90 degree pipe (2in) and got the radiator place to put in a new filler pipe. Took the hooks off the bedford straps and welded on the commodore straps, other end just made some brackets for the threaded bedford hooks. the commodore has built in pump and suits the fancy stuff on dash so all should be good.

Am converting the diff, using commodore centre with bedford axles and housing. The weird thing is the diff I had in there was a cresta (pinon at least) at 3.7.1 gears so could of been a bitsa.

Bas, I did have to cut the floor back to the gearstick hole, yours is way forward because of the power steering. was still good to see though.

The exhaust I used two cobies and ended in front of the rear wheel, hopefully will be quiet enough.

Still got a bit to do but getting there.

i got the old 3.3, trimatic and aussie assembled front beam with engine cover to suit on tardeme if anyone is keen
