hey rogue, what are you doing about your tailshaft, I need to look at mine in the next week or two, what does it cost to redo to the new length.

Rossie, I have but nothing you'd see in photos, just a bit of body work.
My girlfriend lives 1.5 hours away and i go see her every second weekend, and sundays I am here i take the motorbike for a scream - but I will

I think it's about $180 to get drive shaft done

Don't worry Rogue, I'll get the standard van running but may have to strip the engine down, has a bit of a tap going on (could just be tappets) but if the cash is there might give it a birthday

If you have a tapping then it is probably more than likely the the timing chain tensioner has destroyed itself. The VN engines were notorious for it. I replaced mine while the engine was out of the car. Use a later model one as they were of much better construction.

Actually 'replace' is probably the wrong word to use. It was just no longer there. Found the remnants in the sump while I was replacing it which is how I found out what the tapping was.
