WA Rego Morons

hey john abbott, tell me, are the WA transport all asleep, i have just got a bill from your state for a vehicle i bought 6yrs ago, and sold 4yrs ago, i mean talk about slow, these wankers are threatening to infringe me if i dont pay them $10,000 for a vehicle that has been bought and sold so many times.  They claim that they have no proof that i paid stamp duty on a truck i bought, so i showed them a rego paper,[ faxed ] here is the kicker, all parties agree that if you dont pay your stamp duty at the counter and associated cost when putting a new vehicle into your name`, then the transport dept wont give you your new plates, sticker so on, so how was it that the truck was in my name, regoed for 2 years, and i have my old rego papers to prove it, yet they say it never happened, no stamp duty, no rego, simple ? No, because WA have no record of the truck going from wa to qld rego, they want to bill me, they saw the qld rego papers, but that is not good enough. So six hours later, 3 calls to perth, 1 to qld transport, 1 to the dept of revenue, and 1 fax, and these jackasses still dont get it, none of the above including yours truely has any idea of what perth are talking about, it will be a cold day in hell b4 i hand over $10,000 to these greedy bastards, and on top of all that, they are charging me $14-00 for sending out the bill.

Jesus George....I am as dumbfounded as you are.  I have always been a bit nervous when dealing with any licenceing dept here. It seems to me that if you dont have the right bit of paper or some form, they seem to be very reluctant to allow common sence to prevail. I like you would be spewwin mate. I have always understood the same that you couldnt get any new rego plates unless all stamp duty and fees were paid there and then. Keep us posted buddy.If i were you i would see if by any chance you can dig up as much paper work as you can on this vehicle plus even try to track down one or two owners?

is that better craig, if i was you mate i would be worried less about my heading and more about the wa transport dept, heres why, i bought a truck from a dealership in perth almost 7yrs ago, shipped it to bris, had a roadworthy done, took all paperwork to qld transport, paid thousands for the re-rego, got my plates, and sticker, and insured it, now 7 yrs later they send me a bill for almost $10,000, because i did not pay stamp duty. Its this simple, no stamp duty, no rego, no insurance, so if i had 3 outa 3, and i can prove it with paperwork, then why can't i prove it. You see if i can't prove this they are threatening to pull my licence, and sell my house just to get 10 grand that i dont owe them, thats what i find offensive craig, and this was out of the blue, if wa transport is this stuffed up, just watch they dont knock on your door next week.

but as a moderator of this site it is my job to help encorage bedford owners and to adopt a stance that is neutral and fair and promotes cooperation and further more i didnt have the impression that you were the insulting type change shoes with me, wake up and log on and the 1st post that comes up "wa morons" there are lots of all states and nationalitys on buga and id like to keep those guys here and you as well .so please dont "if i were you" ok.

I have to agree with you there Craig I had the same reaction when i opened the site  BUT!!! there are "WA Morons " here just ask Mark .he was on his way home the other night when he heard a loud bang (said it sounded like a gun shot) so he pulled over and found a huge dent in the left rear quarter from a rock . he had passed 5 indj inding ..... bla$#@%nts at the same time walking the other way by the time he doubled back they had gone walkabout .needless to say he was not happy jan

hey craig, sorry if i came across the wrong way,  not my intention, I am not the insulting type, i never thought telling the truth was considered being an insult, and i dont have a problem with people making mistakes, but in this case, these drop kicks asked me for proof of payment, i supplied them with proof, they said that was not good enough, proof is proof, and a moron is a moron, and i have spoken to 2 of the biggest.  What am i supposed to do, when they wont accept proof, and i keep heading towards loosing my house, and interest is accumilating every day they keep refusing my proof of payment, what would you call them.
