George, mate, if i can do it.........any one can!!

Hey Wazza, i got the wheels and tyres from General Tyres in Rowville, and get this, Chris Hummer (the owner) donated them - yep - donated. 6 rims and 6 tyres, fitted and balanced. I was absolutely blown away and have been amazed at the generosity of businesses that we have become involved with through the bash. All of our headlights, driving lights, flashers etc - all donated!

You really get to see the human side of people in these instances and for the most part, its pure generosity. No demands - just happy to help. kinda makes you want to tear up!!!

Last count we are up over $10,000.00 in donations not counting the parts and accessories. Cant wait to see the looks on the kids faces as we cruise across the Nullabor.

I will be trying to upload pics etc as we go, but being the computer illiterate that i am, i cant guarantee!

hey mezz, just had a look at the rest of your pics in your gallery, 10 outa 10 mate, your ride will be the best in the bash. The colour is going to be of red by the end of the run, make sure you get a pic of it b4 you give it a bath. It has me wanting to get mine finished now, so i rang my sheet metal guy up and he will be back next week to get started again. Between you and rogue ther are going to be some nice vans out there.

Thanks Guys, Well, sparky just left so thats it - its in the lap of the gods now, if we aint ready now we never will be!

As the van belongs to me, i am the lucky stiff to be sleeping in her - but John decided that wasn't such a great idea (jealous) so the bastard has painted the entire interior in Glow in Dark Paint!!!! Now that should be interesting!

Back from the bash and man waht a great time - the little beddie had a few issues, like frying the electrics the day before the start, got hit by a tree on day 1 etc etc but she kept on going and made it to the end.

And.....check this out boys and girls, the little green beddie and her on board hippies took out the #1 overall winner prize for the 2010 bash. what a great end to a great trip, roll on next year!!!

More pics in the gallery and i'll upload more as they come.

Hey mezmo, you long haired twit, lol  ;D ;D ;) are you sure it was a tree that did that damage to the van, and not elvis's elbow lol  ;D ;D
Also what was it like surfing in the dust, bet it clogged up the wax. lol  ;D ;D congrats mate, clad your back safe, hopefully there will be an a-team van  with you next year.
