Trimatic overdrive unit

I've been hunting for an overdrive unit like a couple of the members have on their vans. Some trans people know what I am talking about others don't.
It appears the name of the thing is a lazycock, is a universal unit that will fit several things, have heard they have been fitted to trimatics, C4's and others.

Now to find one ....

hopefully this little bit of info will be helpful to someone. When i do find one i'm going to strip it down and will take some pictures.

The downside to these units is they don't have a powerlock - will freewheel in gear

David, have the overdrive Trimatic auto out of the van, so come have a look if you want, its a ford unit that is fitted, have a bit of information on them. Barry

Looks like all gm autos have hidden secrets, because with the t700 from vn to vp on top of the four gears the auto has as standard there is a plug on the auto that can be connected not sure how but you activate it on the free way or hyway and it gives you a over drive lock in gear. Going to be mucking around with that soon because if it's true should keep the revs nice and low on the free way

B&M do a whole lot of kits for these trans and some of them involve that type of thing. Have a look at the last few pages of this online catalogue.
