I have an annexe for the back of my van. I've used it once. And that was enough.

Seriously, it is easier to buy a big ex-army tent and set that up than have to worry about customising a new one to fit to a Bedford. You can't go get supplies once you've set up, which you can with a stand alone tent. I have a 10' square tent and a 12'x18' tent for different occasions. And I can always go get more beer!

where are you jim?
i have an annex that came with the van.
no use to me.
the previous owner took his bike out and must have not moved the van while he was camping.

the problem is you have to pack it up when you want to drive to the bottleshop

It is for sale, has a couple of small holes (easy patches) and is in pretty good nick, just no use :D
PM if you're interested

Ranger Camping use to sell van tents, they come with an elastic opening and drawstring that fit over the back of a bedford.
You can open the back doors into the tent and it comes with a zippered front door.
When you need to leave you slip the elastic off, pull the drawstring closed and its a stand alone.
Used to be 199.00 smackers.
Last time I was there it was before xmas this year saw one then, but it was bright orange.
Anyways there out there!

I've never used it.
There is a long aluminium bar that was riveted to the van roof that a cord sewn into the edge of the canvas slides into.
there are also three brackets that the roof poles clip into.
The water must run back to the van because the tent is higher at the front, but i dont know if it runs off or not.

I just want it out, i sold it on Ebay but the guy didn't collect it.
I'm in warburton (3799)
How does $50 sound??????

hey Jim l was talking to Southerncross caravans the other day and a new pull out awning cost around the $1000, you do have to fit it yourself but everything is supplied, then you can roll it in and go get more beer ;D ;D the arms that hold the awning up can detatch from the van with a click, be pegged to the ground . Giving you a spare room for when the inlaws come(park that side over some quick sand) ::) ;D
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer
