Not a bad idea depends what you doing with the inside of the van in this area. If you looking at putting a bed over it then the tubs would not be seen from the inside so it would not matter :) but they would be very wide wheels you would be sticking on expecially if you put flares on to

hey jimmy you wont have to tub your van. just stick flares on the rear and that will take care of it. tubbing is for cars that want to keep the orig width without flares but beddies look great with flares so i wouldnt bother..
