Chassis numbers
« on: March 15, 2010, 10:34:23 PM »
Hi All

I'm looking to buy my 1st Bedford and have been reading lots of posts about the different models.
I was just wondering if some one could tell me where to find the chassis number?
I'm interested to find out which model it is that i'm looking at buying.

Thanks

Model number is on the aluminium plate in the step well on drivers side this info will tell you year of manufacture, carrying capacity etc, chassis number is on the fire wall on the righthand side in engine compartment up above the air intake for the internal heater

Cheers

Joe

Hi All

Thanks for the help. I ended up buy my 1st CF last week, it needs a bit of work, think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. Not sure what year it is, I’m not sure how to check it doesn’t seem to be on any of the plates.

Thanks Ben

congats on the buy that van has a lot going for it's self, is good because it's got no major body mods so ur starting from scratch to make it how you want. From the pics it's not that bad and looks to be beter than what our little cf started as. Enjoy building her buddy
No matter what condition a beddy crusing down the road will always get a long hard stare
